Runner up number one: Fahrenheit 451.

Why: If a book destroying crusade emerged similar to the one in Fahrenheit 451, then it would be logical to memorize the book to aid in a reconstructive effort. On top of reconstruction, a way to prevent future occurrences of book burnings might be present.



Runner up number two: the Christian Bible

Why: The bible would be a good basis for action and responses used in life. The Bible teaches about the ideal way to act and the ideal way to perceive things in reality. The bible is additionally valuable for it's point of view. People would practically have a clean slate if all of their books would have been wiped out. It would be a perfect time to take advantage of people looking for a leader to insert a religion and moral basis.
